Mainnet Launch

Safrochain successfully launched its Mainnet on July 15, 2026, marking a major milestone in the project’s journey and transitioning the network from testing to a fully operational blockchain.

Mainnet provides a production-ready environment where validators secure the network, delegators participate through staking, developers build decentralized applications, and users interact with an expanding ecosystem of products and services.

It also establishes the foundation for decentralized governance, digital payments, and real-world blockchain adoption across Africa and beyond.

To support this transition, the ecosystem introduced new onboarding resources, community walkthroughs, documentation updates, and improvements across its core products. Some technical documentation continues to be aligned with the latest Mainnet developments.

SAF Airdrop

Following the Mainnet launch, Safrochain officially opened the Phase 1 claiming process for its 40 million SAF airdrop. The airdrop rewards early community members who participated in ecosystem campaigns and contributed to Safrochain’s growth before Mainnet.

Eligible participants can claim their allocations directly through Safrochain Hub. To improve transparency, the team also published a detailed allocation breakdown explaining how rewards were calculated across the different campaigns and participation categories.

The claim period opened on July 15 and will close on August 24, 2026.

After claiming, allocated rewards follow the official vesting schedule, with portions of SAF unlocking progressively and becoming available for use.

A step-by-step guide is also available to help eligible participants complete the claiming process.

Safrochain Phase 2 Campaign

The Safrochain Phase 2 Campaign went live on July 20, 2026, introducing a new set of quests focused on the Mainnet ecosystem.

Community members can complete different quests to explore Safrochain products and features, earn rewards, and become more actively involved across the ecosystem.

The campaign remains open, allowing both existing and new users to participate at their own pace.

Coinstore: The First Exchange to List SAF

Safrochain’s launch on Coinstore marked an important milestone in expanding access to SAF and the broader ecosystem.

Following the Safrochain Launchpad campaign, held from July 15 to July 17, SAF was officially listed on Coinstore on July 20, allowing participants to withdraw the tokens they had purchased.

Since July 23, SAF deposits, withdrawals, and SAF/USDT spot trading have been open to the entire community. Users can now buy, sell, trade, and transfer SAF through the exchange.

The Coinstore listing provides an additional gateway for new users and community members who want to access SAF and participate in the ecosystem.

Validator Network Continues to Expand

With Mainnet now live, the Safrochain Validator Network is actively securing the blockchain and supporting network decentralization. The network currently consists of 68 active validators; Explore Safrochain Validators: https://explorer.safrochain.com/validators.

Validator operators are contributing from across Africa and other regions, helping strengthen the security, resilience, and long-term sustainability of the network.

  • SAF staking:

SAF staking has also been available since Mainnet, allowing token holders to delegate their SAF directly to validators through Safrochain Hub. By staking, users can earn rewards while contributing to network security and decentralization.

Users can explore validator profiles, compare commission rates, and select validators based on their preferences. Read the section "II.1.3. Delegate" in the Safrochain Hub User Guide to learn how to stake you SAF.

  • Call for African Validators

The Safrochain Foundation continues to encourage more community validators, particularly operators running infrastructure from Africa.

This effort supports broader participation, stronger geographical distribution, and greater decentralization across the network.

Safrochain Hub Updates-v1.2.0

Safrochain Hub continues to evolve as the central gateway for interacting with the Safrochain ecosystem. Users can switch between Safrochain Testnet and Mainnet depending on their needs.

On Mainnet, eligible users can claim their SAF airdrop allocations, monitor the SAF price on Coinstore, send and receive SAF, delegate to validators, manage their assets, and access ecosystem applications from one interface.

Safrochain Hub remains the primary entry point for users exploring the expanding range of Safrochain products and services.

New Ecosystem Applications

The Safrochain ecosystem continues to grow through new applications designed to improve the user experience and introduce new possibilities on Mainnet.

  1. SafHandle

SafHandle enables users to register human-readable names linked to their wallets. This makes wallet addresses easier to remember and simplifies on-chain transactions.

  1. SMultisig

SMultisig introduces secure multi-signature wallet functionality for teams, organizations, communities, and DAOs.

It allows shared funds to be managed through multiple approvals, improving accountability and reducing the risks associated with single-signature fund management.

  1. WinSAF

WinSAF introduces a prize-based community application where participants can receive SAF depending on the campaign rules and results.

As part of its launch campaign, 1,000,000 SAF is being distributed over 10 days, with 100,000 SAF allocated each day.

Participants can also increase their engagement through referral-based participation and daily campaigns.

Community Calls and Upcoming Events

Safrochain Community Calls bring together builders, validators, team members, and community participants to share ecosystem updates, introduce new tools, and answer questions.
