1. Mainnet Countdown: July 15, 2026
Safrochain has officially confirmed that Mainnet will launch on July 15, 2026, marking one of the most significant milestones in the project’s history.
This transition will move the network from the current Preprod environment to the production Mainnet, where:
- Real blockchain transactions will become permanent;
- Validators will begin producing Mainnet blocks;
- The SAF token will become the native asset powering the network;
- Staking, governance, and decentralized applications will begin operating on the live blockchain.
With 12 days remaining before launch, ecosystem preparation continues across infrastructure, validators, developers, applications, and community onboarding.
2. Safrochain Hub Continues to Evolve
The Safrochain technical team has released a significantly improved version of Safrochain Hub, the platform that will serve as the primary gateway for interacting with the blockchain after Mainnet.
Community members are encouraged to explore the Hub by:
- Sending transactions
- Delegating to stake pools
- Testing token transfers
- Trying bridge functionality
- Exploring the overall user experience

Mobile Hub Development
Safrochain is also actively developing Mobile Hub, a mobile-first experience designed to allow users to access blockchain services directly from their smartphones without relying on browser extensions.
This initiative reflects Safrochain’s long-term vision of making blockchain technology easily accessible to users across Africa through mobile devices.
Although still under active development, the community is invited to explore the current preview and provide feedback while additional improvements continue.

3. EightSAF Wallet Added to the Ecosystem
During June, Safrochain officially listed EightSAF Wallet among the supported applications within the Safrochain Hub ecosystem.
EightSAF Wallet is a non-custodial browser extension for Safrochain, developed by Mechack Elie (8Pro), the Safrochain Ambassador for Uganda. As a community-built wallet, it allows users to create or restore wallets, send and receive SAF on Testnet, connect to dApps, and securely sign transactions.
Mainnet support has already been prepared and will become available alongside the official network launch.
Community members are encouraged to install the wallet, explore its features, perform Testnet transactions, and share feedback as development continues.

4. Safrochain Developers Community Goes Live
Safrochain has officially launched its dedicated Developer Community page on DevCommunity.
This new platform serves as the official home for developers building within the Safrochain ecosystem, bringing together blockchain engineers, smart contract developers, validators, infrastructure contributors, and innovators working on decentralized applications.
Developers are encouraged to follow the page and enable notifications to stay informed about technical updates, tutorials, development opportunities, and ecosystem news.

5. African Validators Call Ahead of Mainnet
As Safrochain approaches Mainnet, the Foundation is inviting African validators to join the network and contribute to securing the blockchain infrastructure.
Validators will play a key role in the ecosystem by:
- Securing the network
- Supporting decentralization
- Participating in governance
- Ensuring network reliability and performance
- Earning validator rewards
To be eligible for Foundation delegation, validators must operate servers with IP addresses based in Africa. This requirement reflects Safrochain’s commitment to strengthening regional infrastructure and ensuring meaningful validator distribution across the continent.

Building Validators Live Session ahead
A dedicated “Building Validators” live session will be held on July 9, 2026 (17:00 – 19:00 UTC) to support validator onboarding ahead of Mainnet.
Further details, including access instructions and participation links, will be communicated through Safrochain’s official channels.
6. Campaign Phase 2 Officially Concluded
Safrochain Campaign Phase 2 officially concluded on June 29, 2026, after several weeks of community participation through educational activities, ecosystem exploration, and contribution-based quests on Airlyft.
Throughout the campaign, participants were able to:
- Learn how the Safrochain ecosystem operates;
- Explore ecosystem products and infrastructure;
- Earn XP through active participation;
- Build their contribution history ahead of Mainnet.
Campaign Phase 2 follows the initial campaign conducted through Safrochain Hub.
Together, participation across both phases will be recognized as part of the 40,000,000 SAF reserved for the Phase 1 Airdrop Rewards Program.
Participants are strongly encouraged to securely store the recovery phrase (seed phrase) of the wallet they used throughout the campaign, as it will be essential for accessing their wallet and future rewards.
AIRDROP Timeline
Unless anything changes, here are the key dates to remember for the airdrop:
- ~ July 10, 2026 – Allocation becomes visible before launch;
- July 15, 2026 – Mainnet goes live;
- ~ 5 days after Mainnet – Claiming opens for eligible participants.

7. SAF Launches on Coinstore Launchpad
Safrochain has officially announced that SAF will launch on the Coinstore Launchpad, representing another important milestone ahead of Mainnet.
This listing expands the project’s visibility while supporting the continued growth of the Safrochain ecosystem.
At the same time, development efforts remain focused on infrastructure readiness, ecosystem expansion, and the successful launch of the Mainnet.
